2020/2021 Postgraduate and Undergraduate Federal Government Nigerian Scholarships Award

The Federal Ministry of Education through the Honourable Minister of Education invites interested and qualified Nigerians both at postgraduate and undergraduate level to participate in the proposed 2020/2021 Nomination Computer Based Test (CBT) for the Federal Government Scholarship Award.

 

The NIGERIA AWARD SCHOLARSHIP (NA) 2020/2021 TENABLE IN NIGERIA PUBLIC TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS was created to assist young promising Nigerians in the payment of their tuition fees.

 

The Criteria for Eligibility for the Nigerian Award Scholarships are as Follows:  

 

  • Intending applicants for Postgraduate studies must possess a minimum of first degree with Second Class Honours Upper Division.
  • The applicant must be a Full-Time enrolled student of Federal or State Universities.
  • All other applicants (UG, HND & NCE) must be a full-time enrolled student in their second year or above in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education.
  • All undergraduate Scholarship intending applicants (Physically challenged inclusive) must have at least 4.0 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five (5) point scale or its equivalents or 5.0 on a 7 point scale.

 

It is the benchmark that all NCE and HND applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5 and above on a scale of 4.0

 

Required Information for Applicants:

 

  • The Nigeria Award Scholarship is tenable in Nigeria and commences from the beginning of the academic year.
  • It shall not be held at the same time with another Scholarship Award nor for part-time studies.
  • Change of course or Institution during the scholarship award is highly prohibited.

 

Field of Study to be Considered for the Award are as Follows:  

 

  • Science and Technology
  • Medicine and Para-medicals
  • Education
  • Agriculture
  • Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences
  • Entrepreneurial Studies
  • ICT
  • Environmental Sciences
  • Law

 

Method of Enrolment  

 

All interested and qualified applicants for the Award are encouraged to:

  1. Access the Federal Ministry of Education’s website www.education.gov.ng and click on Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page.
  2. Read Guidelines and then Complete the Application Form online
  3. Print the Examination slip.
  4. Double Entries will be disqualified!

 

Documents to upload with the Application

 

  1. Admission Letter into the Institution
  2. Most recent Course Registration Form
  • Complete CGPA results of year 1, 2, 3, etc.
  1. Current School’s Identity Card
  2. State/ Local Government indigene certificate

 

NOTE: You are required to come with one set of completed online printed form at the venue of the test.

 

Schedules for the 2020/2021 FSB Computer Based Test

 

The CBT tests for the Nigeria Scholarship Award are scheduled according to the six zones in Nigeria.
