Commonwealth Youth Awards in 2020 for Outstanding Youngsters

The yearly Commonwealth Youth Awards is accepting applications 2020 award from young people that will see winners granted monetary award to catapult development work benefiting their communities.

The Commonwealth Youth Awards was set-up to recognise excellent work carried out by youngsters over the 53 member nations.

An invitation will be given to regional champs in 2020 to attend Commonwealth Day in London.

The honors are being conveyed in collaboration with the Commonwealth Youth Council and the Commonwealth Youth Networks.

Chosen youngster Must be:

•           aged 15 to 29 years;

•           a native of a Commonwealth member nation;

•           been occupied with development work for over a year – either in an expert or discretionary capacity;

•           have a solid reputation of executing inventive ideas and connecting their development work and its effect to one of the 17 SDGs;

•           have exhibited a comprehension of the significance of youth commitment in key regions of development.

Contestants can choose themselves or be nominated by somebody who is definitely not a relative and who can vouch for their work.

The 2020 finalists will get a trophy, a certificate and money awards to enable them to proceed with their development work.

All finalists will be granted £1,000. Each selected territorial champ will get an extra £2,000, bringing their total win to £3,000. The Commonwealth Young Person of the Year will likewise get an extra money award of £2,000, bringing her/his absolute award to £5,000.
